This carpet is a soft sculpture for the floor, and it is built by over 800 handmade pompons. An animal-like but animal-friendly art object. The pompons with leopard pattern are knotted to a wool felt base in a snow leopard shape. The dense but soft surface reaches a height of up to 12 cm. The head of the leopard is formed by a mold sewn from felt and inside with a filling cushion. This soft sculpture achieves a total weight of approx. 39kg. Eye sockets and muzzle are hand felted and formed from wool. Eyes are glass and beard hairs are imitated by quills. All used materials are of high quality and pompons of superior merino wool. This design object is exclusively handmade in Germany and at MYKs studio in Berlin. Customizing in color is possible.

Extra: There are estimated only 4000 to 6500 snow leopards left in the wild. They are already listed as vulnerable, only one step under endangered! One of the greatest threats they must face besides poaching is the climate change!
